Privacy Policy This document describes the SILC Project's privacy policies regarding our website, FTP site, mirror sites and conduct of daily operations. As our project is open and develops an Open Source software and services, openess and mutual trust is our main principle. In this document you will find information about our policies on collecting personal information and protection of personal information that is supplied to us when visiting our sites. Collecting IP address and hostname information When you access this website, our FTP sites, mirrors sites, or any other SILC project site (such as the SILC Network), our project will collect your IP address and the hostname (FQDN). This information is collected during normal system operations and is done only for system logging and internal tracking purposes. Collecting personal information You can access all areas of this site without need to supply any kind of personal information for us. Some services may require you to provide personal information, such as, your name and email address. These services are, for example, submission to SILC Project mailing lists, submission of bug reports, supports requests and feature requests. However, you also have choice not to submit any personal information by contacting these services by other means. Please note that, when you contact us by email you should not contact us with confidential matters without first protecting the email with our PGP public key. Disclosure of information SILC Project will not disclose personal information to third parties. Our project protects personal information by protecting our sites against information loss and unauthorized use. Cookies Our project website does not use cookies, and you can access this site without cookies being enabled in your web browser. No cookies are stored on your local machine by accessing this site.
